Animal Taxonomy and Ecology publishes original works in the fields of animal taxonomy and systematics (both living and fossil), zoogeography, animal ecology and behaviour, population biology, biodiversity studies and nature conservation problems of international interest. Taxonomic revisions and monographs are especially welcome. Annotated checklists, type catalogues, etc. may also be considered. Short communications, or new species records for a given region are not in the focus of the scope of the journal, only if they are about important new locality data of currently spreading invasive species. Animal Taxonomy and Ecology is published quarterly in four issues, the articles are first published in Online First.
