Acta Acustica United with Acustica (AAUA)
Journal Descriptions
Acta Acustica united with Acustica was an internationally recognized peer reviewed scientific journal dedicated to the field of acoustics and vibration science. Established in 2000 through the merger of the journals Acta Acustica and Acustica, the publication became the official scientific journal of the European Acoustics Association. The journal published original research papers, review articles, technical notes, and conference related studies covering a broad range of acoustics disciplines. Major research areas included room acoustics, environmental noise, speech communication, physical acoustics, musical acoustics, psychoacoustics, underwater acoustics, and aeroacoustics. The journal served as an important platform for scientists, engineers, and researchers working in theoretical and applied acoustics. It gained strong international recognition through indexing in major scientific databases including Scopus and Web of Science. In 2020, the journal transitioned into the fully open access journal Acta Acustica, continuing its scientific legacy in modern digital publishing.
