Journal Descriptions

ACM Transactions on Asian and Low-Resource Language Information Processing is a peer reviewed international journal published by the Association for Computing Machinery (ACM). The journal focuses on research and technological developments related to Asian languages and low resource languages in the field of natural language processing and computational linguistics. It provides an important platform for researchers working on language technologies for languages that traditionally receive less computational and digital support. The journal publishes original research articles, surveys, technical papers, and application studies related to machine translation, speech recognition, sentiment analysis, information extraction, text summarization, multilingual systems, and language resource development. It also addresses challenges in processing languages with limited annotated data, diverse scripts, and complex linguistic structures. Originally launched as ACM Transactions on Asian Language Information Processing, the journal later expanded its scope to include low resource languages worldwide. It is widely recognized for supporting linguistic diversity in artificial intelligence and advancing inclusive language technologies for global communication and digital access.
