Yavatmal Zilla Vikas Samiti was established in the year 1985 initiated by Shri. Mukul Wasnik, Ex. Minister HRD, Shri. Shivajirao Moghe, Ex. Minister for Transport and Self Employment, M. S. and Shri. Jagdish G. Wadhwani Chairman, Yavatmal Zilla Vikas Jagdish G. Wadhwani Chairman, Yavatmal Zilla Vikas Samiti, Yavatmal. Pataldhamal Wadhwani College of Pharmacy (PWCP), Yavatmal was established in 1997 by Yavatmal Zilla Vikas Samit and offers courses in the fields of pharmacy. PWCP Yavatmal offers academic programmes such as Diploma in Pharmacy (D.Pharm), Bachelor of Pharmacy (B.Pharm) and Master of Pharmacy (M.Pharm) courses in four specialisations: Pharmaceutics, Pharmaceutical Chemistry, Quality Assurance and Pharmacology PWCP Yavatmal is affiliated with Sant Gadge Baba Amravati University, Amravati and approved by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), New Delhi. The research department of P Wadhwani College of Pharmacy also offers a Ph.D programme in Pharmaceutical Sciences. Admission to PWCOP Yavatmal is based on the merit of the qualifying examination and the entrance test conducted by the Directorate of Technical Education (DTE), Maharashtra. The D.Pharma admission is merit-based and considers scores in the science subject. For the B.Pharma courses, candidates have to appear for MHT-CET. Similarly, Candidates should appear for the Graduate Pharmacy Aptitude Test (GPAT).
