An optometrist is a healthcare professional who provides primary vision care. Optometry is a branch of health science that deals with the primary management of ocular and visual system disorders. They can prescribe contact lenses, spectacle lenses, l can prescribe contact lenses, spectacle lenses, low vision management,neuro-optometric rehabilitation of stroke and traumatic brain injury patients, vision therapy for binocular vision abnormality, and visual rehabilitation for amblyopia and CVI children. Also, an optometrist can do comprehensive eye check-ups and diagnose blinding eye diseases .like glaucoma and diabetic retinopathy.
