Varalakshmi College of Nursing was established in the year 2003, in accordance with Vralakshmi Trust founded by Mr.Vijay Kumar T with the sole aim of offering qualitative nursing education to prepare confidence and competition among the nurses in the confidence and competition among the nurses in the society. This college stands still in Dasarahalli, Bangalore with decent inmfrastructures necessarily required for nursing education. VaralakshmI College of Nursing is affiliated to Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Science, Bangalore and is recognized by the Government of Karnataka and Indian Nursing Council, New Delhi. In the year 2003 only the Diploma program was started but the Under Graduate Nursing program was then started just one year later in 2004, with an aim to provide primitive, curative and rehabilitative services in the society. In the year 2009, The Government of Karnataka and the Indian Nursing Council recognized the Institution for the Post Graduate program with 5 other specialties beside Post Basic Nursing program under the premise of Varalakshmi College of Nursing. This college runs upon the slogan “The great aim of education is not knowledge but action”.
