About University of Washington School of Public Health (UW SPH)
The UW School of Public Health is grounded in teaching, research, and service. Our 11,000 graduates have gone on to transform communities, lead health organizations, and find solutions to emerging public health challenges. The school is accredited b blic health challenges. The school is accredited by CEPH. Our major departments are Biostatistics, Environmental and Occupational Health Sciences, Epidemiology, Global Health, and Health Systems and Population Health. We offer interdisciplinary programs in Food Systems, Nutrition, and Health; Health Administration; Health Management and Informatics; Public Health Genetics; and Public Health-Global Health. Our more than 30 centers and institutes bring together faculty from throughout the School to collaborate and conduct research across disciplines. In addition, we have strong undergraduate programs, offering a Public Health-Global Health major, Nutrition major, and degrees in Environmental Health, Health Informatics and Health Information Management. We have multiple certificate programs as well. We partner with many health organizations such as the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, Fred Hutch, Kaiser Permanente Washington Health Research Institute, Seattle Children’s Hospital, U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs, PATH, and local and regional health departments across a five-state region.
