University College of Engineering, Thodupuzha was established in 1996 with the aim of providing value education to the upcoming generation in the country. It is one of the most sought after engineering colleges in Kerala. It offers high quality techn g colleges in Kerala. It offers high quality technical education enriching students in domain areas and empowering them to take up future responsibilities. The accent accorded to self reliance has immensely benefited our past students. Many students working in senior/responsible positions in various corporate institutions both inland and overseas stand testimonials to the quality of education imparted by the college. Now the college is managed by Centre for Professional and Advanced Studies (CPAS), a society established by Government of Kerala; under the chairmanship of Hon'ble Minister for Education. Located near Thodupuzha town in Idukki district, Kerala, India, UCE is a premier institute of Engineering and Technology which is being run and managed by Center for Professional and Advanced Studies, Kottayam, Kerala. When it was started, UCE was the first self-financing college to be started under the university. UCE offers B.Tech. degree courses in five branches of Engineering . All the courses conducted by the college have been approved by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), New Delhi. This institute started functioning on 1996 in Thodupuzha and was later moved to its own campus at Muttom in May 2002.
