Immaculate Heart of Mary Matric.Hr.Sec.School is run by the congregation of the Franciscan sisters of the Immaculate Heart of Mary,Pudhucherry. Rev.Fr.Louis Savenien Dupuis MEP (1806-1874) founded this Congregation in the year 1844.His vision was to s Congregation in the year 1844.His vision was to expel the darkness of the society with the light of education. Having the same spirit of their founder, the sisters established numerous schools, Colleges to serve the poor and needy so that they have a hale and healthy life. Immaculate Heart of Mary Matric.Hr.Sec.School has begun it’s journey in the YEAR 1977. The sincere and genuine efforts of the sisters and staff enabled the school’s development and growth in all dimensions. To fulfil the needs of the society around, the school was upraised to matriculation in the year 1988, the school was upgraded to Higher Secondary by the Grace of God in the arms of our Great Patroness of Immaculate Heart of Mary.
