Established in 2007, the School of Public Health is a premier institution dedicated to advancing public health education, training, and research. Besides offering Master of Public Health (MPH), M.Sc.- Biostatistics and Epidemiology, and M.Sc.- Health Biostatistics and Epidemiology, and M.Sc.- Health Data Science programs, the School of Public Health actively engages in research studies. A testament to our research expertise, the National Family Health Survey (NFHS) is a prestigious project commissioned by the Government of India. Having completed NFHS-5, the school is now spearheading the NFHS-6 survey in Tamil Nadu and Puducherry. Our Master of Public Health (MPH) program equips students to design and implement public health projects. They develop the skills to conduct research studies and analyze data using advanced statistical software like SPSS and STATA. The M.Sc. – Biostatistics and Epidemiology program is designed for those with a keen interest in research. Students learn to design research studies and analyze complex data using platforms such as STATA, R, and SAS. The M.Sc. – Health Data Science program is for candidates with a background in computer science and programming who are interested in big data analytics.
