Soul Winning Mission Theological Seminary

The Soul Winning Mission was founded in the year 1976 as a small fellowship with a handful of ministry minded believers. We started the work among the down-trodden and the outcast people. Soul Winning alone was our motive. The Lord blessed our humble alone was our motive. The Lord blessed our humble mission. He turned it into a church mission. The mission started growing by God’s grace with churches in several places. The Lord helped us to open a small orphanage in the years that followed. He opened doors for our founder, Rev. Dr. Jacob P. Isaac, to minister to people of God in different parts of the world. As the work of God progressed, the Lord laid burden in our hearts to train and prepare mission leaders to reach the unreached and neglected villages of India with the Good News of Salvation of God through Jesus Christ. To our surprise, by God, the Vision International University granted university affiliation to the Soul Winning Mission to open a Bible college. Thus by the eternal plan of God, the Soul Winning Mission Theological Seminary was officially opened with its first batch of the B.Th. students on August the 11th in the year 1997. As years pass by we are able to see how the Lord is making His called and commissioned people rush into our seminary to enrich them with the Word of God. We are humbly standing before God with heartfull of gratitude. We are happy to be an accredited Seminary by ATA (Asia Theological Association) for B. Th., M. Div. and our M.Th. (New Testament, Mission and Ministry) accreditation is under process. We are also happy to be an accredited seminary by the National Association for Theological Accreditation in all levels. In 1974, while working in Salalah in the Sultanate of Oman, Dr. Jacob Isaac was led by God to start the Soul Winning Fellowship. It was the first known and official Christian gathering in the Muslim country of Oman. This work continued on his return to India. In 1976 Dr. Isaac came to the USA with his young family and on a subsequent visit to India in 1979 a new invigorated ministry, the Soul Winning Mission, was born. Dr. Isaac kept the work and vision of a vibrant fruitful soul winning mission in his heart until the Lord called him to give up his career and entrust his young family to Him. In 1983, Dr. Isaac returned to India with his four young children (ages 10 through 14) and embarked on a full-time work of winning souls for God. There were many ups and downs but through prayer and faith the work and vision kept growing.
