Som Lalit Institute of Business Administration (SLIBA) was established in 1997, under the umbrella of Som Lalit Education and Research Foundation (SLERF). SLIBA is affiliated to Gujarat University, Ahmedabad. It is one of the oldest B.B.A. institutio medabad. It is one of the oldest B.B.A. institutions under Gujarat University. Located in the heart of Ahmedabad city in Navrangpura area, it bears proximity to Gujarat University, good boarding and lodging facilities for outside students and entrance exam coaching centers for further studies. SLIBA boasts of excellent infrastructure, which can provide ample learning opportunities to the budding management students. It includes huge airy classrooms, up-to-date library, several computer labs, conference and seminar halls, lift, canteen to name a few. The institute boasts of well-qualified and well-experienced faculty members providing academic excellence to students. These competent faculty members cover the B.B.A. syllabus in a complete and comprehensive manner. Faculty members are authors/co-authors for books related to B.B.A. subjects. Most of them are pursuing Ph.d., writing research papers in reputed management journals, attending conferences, seminars and workshops as a part of academic up gradation. Faculty Members from SLIBA have been instrumental in framing the first B.B.A. syllabus for Gujarat University. They have played an active role in all further syllabus revisions and in framing the syllabus for incorporating semester system (Choice Based Credit System) in B.B.A. at Gujarat University. These faculty members have been appointed by Gujarat University as Chairman, paper setters, evaluators and moderators for various subjects. SLIBA has a track record of giving excellent academic results year after year since its inception. The students from SLIBA have been toppers during exams conducted by Gujarat University. Students undergo extensive exercises of class room teaching and discussions, assignments, presentations and internal exams conducted by the college.
