Smt. Sadguna C. U.Arts College for Girls, Ahmedabad was established on 16th July 1966. It is one of the parental body of Gujarat Law Society, Ahmedabad. It is one of the premier institutions to impart & provide in the field of higher education for th & provide in the field of higher education for the deserving candidates and prove to be a milestone in the part of progress. The college is affiliated to Gujarat University, Ahmedabad and recognized by the University Grants Commission (UGC) under section 2(f) & 12(B) on 12th February 1980 under Act, 1956. It is re-accredited by National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) with "B" Grade - (CGPA Score 2.66 on a 4 Point Scale in 2nd Cycle) on 28th March 2008. The college has been existence since from the last 53 years with its goal centered around women’s progress in educational, social and cultural fields. It was established at a time when establishing a girl's college was considered a path breaking venture. To provide students with different possible ways of making money through art excellence, the college organizes a variety of crash courses for students such as glass painting, flower making, fabric painting, pot-decoration, jewelry designing, beauty-care and variety of occasional & bridal makeups, hairstyles. A group of students who have established themselves as professionals in such work organizes workshops to teach those who aspire to take it as a profession, free of cost. The college offers three years undergraduate courses in Arts stream under Gujarat University, Ahmedabad.
