Smt. Rasilaben Ranchodbhai Haribhai (R.R.H.) Patel Mahila Arts College, Vijapur was established on 15th June 1995 with a view to impart cost effective value based education to girls primarily in an around Vijapur. It imparts Undergraduate (Grant-in-A ound Vijapur. It imparts Undergraduate (Grant-in-Aid) and Postgraduate (Self–Financed) courses to girl's students and it is a part of Amrut Vidhyadham, the education campus spread in more than seven acres of land and managed by Ash Education Trust, Vijapur. The college is affiliated to Hemchandracharya North Gujarat University, Patan and recognized by the University Grants Commission (UGC) under section 2(f) & 12(B) on 30th October 2001 under Act, 1956. It is re-accredited by National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) with "B" Grade - (CGPA Score 2.29 on a 4 Point Scale) in the year 2014. The institution came into being as a result of the passionate endeavors of two veteran social activists, Dr. A.K. Patel and Mr. J.P. Patel. Dr. A.K. Patel is a practicing doctor who became a political activist and central minister. Mr. J.P. Patel is a former school principal and an esteemed educationist. It is the only women’s college in the entire district teaching languages and literature at both the Under Graduate and Post Graduate level. Mahila Arts College is named after his mother as Smt. Rasilaben Ranchhodbhai Haribhai Patel Mahila Arts College. "Education of Women for Social Transformation".
