The R.D. Gardi Department was established in 1996 as per the norms prescribed by All India Council of Technical Education (A.I.C.T.E.), New Delhi. The MBA programme of the Department is approved by AICTE. The main objective of the department is to CTE. The main objective of the department is to motivate bright young management aspirant with knowledge, abilities and skills to perform their roles as versatile managers through the M.B.A. - Full time programmed offered to them. The Department offers three courses i.e., MBA, MBA (B&F), and Ph.D. (Management). MBA Programme comprises of four semesters during which the students have to undertake foundation, core, elective courses and carry out a project work during industrial training on a corporate problem. The programme is built on the foundation of activity-based learning model. The department offers dual specialization in three disciplines – Marketing, Finance, Human Resource and Information Systems. MBA (B&F) programme is specially designed for the working executives of co-operative sector as per the MOU with Gujarat Urban Co-operative Banks Federation. The Department of Business Management, Saurashtra University is amongst the leading B-School of the region. It focuses on management education more than just business management. The commitment is thought leadership with a deep understanding of business. The approach to pedagogy combines fieldwork, case studies and instrumented feedback with a strong emphasis on concepts and theory.
