For the sake of the students of this rural and backward area who desired higher education and for the goodness of the working teachers in the college a new trust was formed with the help of the ‘Adhyapak Mandal’ and the local working teachers und yapak Mandal’ and the local working teachers under the name of ‘Prantij Adhyapak Samaj, Prantij’ under the presidentship of a dynamic leader, an educationalist, Ex-Vice chancellor of Gujarat University and a good administrator Prof. K. S. Shastri and the college was restarted. Thus, this college became the First college governed by the teachers only and created a history in the state of Gujarat as well as all over the country. In 1975 college owned neither land nor building of its own. At present it has a green campus spreader over 4 (Four) Acres of its own land with modern facilities. This all could happen due to generous support and contribution of the college teachers, people of the region, Prantij Nagar Panchayat, Kamalpur Gram Panchayat, Former students and huge financial support of Late Shri Chunikaka Desai and in respect of that generous support we renamed our college as “Smt. Mangalaben Chunilal Desai Arts & Commerce College - Prantij.” Three creative words - Discipline, Character and Peace are the image of regard, faith and Self-confidence. Image and Instructions play very important role in the lives of the students. The institution has accepted its vision and mission for the sake of character building, qualitative education and discipline among the students. Activities Event Our Programs • To empower rural students through access to higher education. • To impart higher education to the youth of this rural area. • To enable them to develop as intellectually alive, socially responsible citizens ever ready for continuous personal & professional growth. • To prepare the students for all round development with diversified co-curricular and extra curricular activities. • To provide wide range of professional and vocational courses and communication skills for rural students to meet the changing needs. • To generate the academic environment for promotion of quality of teaching learning and research in higher education through the use of modern technology. • To inculcate social, moral and spiritual values in the students. Any student Passing 12th in any faculty from Gujarat Higher Secondary Education Board - Gandhinagar or its equalist can be eligible for admission at F.Y.B.A. The college offers Gujarati / Economics as Principal subjects, of which the students have to select any one as principal subject. (Two papers named-1 & 2) Apart from this they can select History / Sociology / Sanskrit as their first subsidiary subject, of which the students have to select any one as first subsidiary subject. (Two Papers Named 1 & 2) Apart from this they can select History / Sociology as their second subsidiary subject, of which the students have to select any one as second subsidiary subject.
