Patel Institute of Medical Laboratory Technology (earlier known as the Institute of Diploma in Medical Laboratory Technology), under the aegis of Charutar Arogya Mandal, Karamsad, has been established in 1981. The Institute, through its stablished in 1981. The Institute, through its post-graduate programmes, DMLT & M.Sc.-Medical Technology (in Clinical Laboratory Technology), provides a unique opportunity for candidates to acquire not only the knowledge and skill in the laboratory techniques at its NABL-accredited clinical laboratories and NABH-accredited A. D. Gorwala Blood Bank; but also to sharpen up the edge in the laboratory-based research by undertaking an in-house research project as a compulsory P. G. dissertation in M.Sc. Programme. We believe that purpose of education is to replace an empty mind with an open mind. Our aim is to teach the upcoming youths to learn, not just to study. Hence, we strive to travel beyond the boundaries of mere books. We realized that the future is abstract and unknown but the youth in our hands are real and can be molded. Our institution also focuses on molding students toward a bright future. Our institution provides a basic foundation for the students so that they can acquire the necessary skills for becoming future nightingales.
