About School of Petroleum Technology(SPT), PDEU
The school of Petroleum Technology, Pandit Deendayal Energy University was established in 2007. The primary objective of the school is to become a world class research centre in upstream sector and to provide opportunities to researchers and academic provide opportunities to researchers and academicians around the globe which will help them to grow and excel in their professional life. School of Petroleum Technology (SPT), PDEU has established a DRILLING, CEMENTING, AND STIMULATION RESEARCH CENTER to conduct excellent, high-tech and cutting-edge research by providing the state-of-the-art research facilities. The center has received a fund of 10 crores by Government of Gujarat and a grant of Rs. 20 lacs has been donated by Prof. Subhash Shah, Shell Total Chair Professor, PDEU and Professor Emeritus, University of Oklahoma, USA for the development activities of this center. “To develop World Class Research and Development Centre to meet the objective of “MAKE IN INDIA” as per the vision of our honourable Prime Minister.” To impart research skill sets to the budding engineers to meet the academic and industrial requirement. Collaborative research with foreign universities and industries. To provide short and long term solution to industrial Problems. Partnership with Government in policy making and regulatory guidelines to meet the very objective of energy security and environmental sustenance. To conduct proppant Conductivity/ permeability evaluation at various closure stresses and temperatures (Under simulated conditions) To conduct crush/sieve analysis of proppant at atmospheric temperature and various closure pressures. To study impact on Conductivity/ Permeability due to embedment of proppant on core. To investigate the formation damage due to effect of drilling fluids and completion fluids including acid and alkali mud systems. To design and investigate the effects of formation damage removing fluid for return permeability. To measure the permeability of core. ...view more
