About School of Earth Science Systems, Central University of Kerala (CUK)
School of Earth Science Systems was established to undertake academic and research endeavors in the discipline of earth sciences including but not limited to ecology, environmental sciences, geology, climate dynamics etc. The school houses two depart climate dynamics etc. The school houses two departments i) Department of Environmental Science and ii) Department of Geology offering Master of Science and PhD programmes in their respective disciplines. The Departments of the school enable experiential learning by effectively bridging instructional teaching with field practicum. The research emphasis is on contemporary issues of Climate Change, Renewable Energy, Environmental Impact Assessment, Petrology, Geochemistry, Structural Geology, Remote Sensing and GIS.
