Saraswathy College of Nursing is run by Saraswathy Educational Trust which was found in 2007 as a glowing tribute to the eternal memory of the late B. Saraswathy Amma, a teacher par excellence. Saraswathy Educational trust envisages promotion of nurs athy Educational trust envisages promotion of nursing education, research activities, community outreach programmes and also to provide quality medical assistance to the needy. Having felt the need for the service to the society by health care, the College of Nursing was established in the year 2007, to promote Quality nursing education, which was an immediate and vital necessity in the field of health care settings .The institute was initially affiliated to the University of Kerala and later it came under the Kerala University of Health Science, Trissur. It is recognized and approved by the Kerala Nurses and Midwives Council and approved by the Indian Nursing Council. The Saraswathy College Of Nursing founded in 2007-08, in fond memory of late B. Saraswathy Amma Teacher, who succumbed to the dreaded silent killer, diabetes mellitus, at a relatively young age of forty four, the Saraswathy College of Nursing, situated in a serene and idyllic surrounding at Karode, a remote hamlet, bordering Kerala and Tamil Nadu, has today, emerged as one of the most sought after institutions for the under graduate and post graduate degree courses in Nursing.
