The college, which initially started with just 100 students, now has more than 600 students, which means the progress of the Literary Degree College can be understood. Under the supervision of Correspondent Mrs. Mary Boy, Principal M Sanjeevareddy, pondent Mrs. Mary Boy, Principal M Sanjeevareddy, Director Sai Ram Reddy's continuous efforts, perseverance and supervision led to the rapid transition from rental buildings to own buildings. Sahitya Degree College, which was started in 2013 at the former Junior College in Agraharam, has by 2015 built a three-storey building on its own foundations by Sahitya Degree College in a spacious area near Cherlopalle village in Khajipeta Gram Panchayat in a pleasant atmosphere. It can be said that this progress is possible due to the talented faculty and the ownership that gives them their full support. English medium and Telugu medium was introduced in B.sc, B.com courses at the beginning of college. Today PG class is also going on in sahithya degree college. M.com classes in particular stand out as ideal. Launched as a degree college only in 2013, the college is now developing into a Literary Degree and PG College to further enhance educational opportunities for students in the region. In addition to improving educational opportunities, the college also engages students in a number of service activities through the NSS program. It has become a tradition to go on science excursions every year. If we come the matter of culture programs, our students do a lot of activities every year in a way that sparks merriment. The college provides spacious seminar hall with a captivating ambience, different from the usual classroom atmosphere for presentations, guest lectures and seminars, meetings, workshops etc. The seminar Hall equipped with an inbuilt audio-visual system, fully air conditioned seminar hall has a seating capacity of 80. That was the situation of the people of Khajipeta Mandal in 2013. The people of this region, which has a large rural student population, had to send their children to Kadapa and Proddatur before 2013 for higher education. However, in 2013, Sri Sanjeevareddy, Sri Sai Ram Reddy established a literary degree college in the area.
