R.L. College of Education, Karnal was established in January 2006. The college is at present affiliated with Kurukshetra University, Kurukshetra. It is recognized & approved by National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE), Jaipur. It is accredited by National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) with “B” Grade – (CGPA Score 2.15 on a 4 Point Scale in 1st Cycle) on 21st February 2014. The college offers two years Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) & D.Ed. course for those who have completed their graduation with minimum aggregate of 50% from any recognized university are eligible to apply for this course. For B.Ed. students here are admitted who completed their graduation from recognized university with at least 50% marks in major or in aggregate at the Degree level. For D.Ed. students here are admitted who completed their 10+2 with at least 50% marks. Various teaching and learning techniques are being used by the faculty to impart knowledge and skills to students at R.L. College of Education, Karnal in its various departments.
