The long-standing wish of the people of Nellai to have another college for girls in Nellai city was fulfilled in 1970 with the arrival of this college. People in the college committee donated Rs.5 lakhs for the building fund. 40 acres of land was acquired from the nearby Abhishekapatti Government Cattle Farm for the permanent construction of the college, which is located in Gandhinagar area of ​​Nellai.
