Rama University Kanpur is pleased to announce the appointment of Shri R. K. Tiwari Ji (IAS), Chief Secretary (Retd.), Government of Uttar Pradesh as the Ombudsperson for redressal of grievances of students under the University Grants Commission (Redr dents under the University Grants Commission (Redressal of Grievances of Students) Regulations, 2023. Shri R. K. Tiwari (born February 4, 1963) is a retired Indian civil servant and Indian Administrative Services officer of Uttar Pradesh cadre of the 1985 batch. He served as the Chief Secretary of the Government of Uttar Pradesh from 30 August 2019 to 30 December 2021. He completed his graduation in B.Tech from the Indian Institute of Technology Kanpur. He also holds a master's degree in Arts from the UK. Shri Tiwari has served in several bureaucratic positions for the Government of India and the Government of Uttar Pradesh, including Joint Secretary to the Government of India in the Ministry of Agriculture and Co-operation.
