Prof. R.V. Dhanapalan established the Vaiyapuri Mudaliar Educational Foundation in 1991 with the objective of providing education and opportunities to communities in rural areas. He names the trust in fond memory of his father. The trust establish fond memory of his father. The trust established Prof. Dhanapalan College in 1991, at Kelambakkam, south of Chennai. The college was affiliated with the University of Madras and had a grand inauguration attended by notable personalities including Dr.Navalar Nedunchezhian, Minister of Finance, Thiru C.Aranganayagam. Minister of Education, Honorable Justice. S. Natarajan, Justice. K. Venkataswamy, Dr. K.M.Marimuthu, Vice-Chancellor of Bharathiyar University. Since its start in 1991, the college has seen tremendous growth. From just 20 students initially, it has now reached 2000 students in 2023. Thanks to the hard work of the management and faculty, the college has become one of the leading institutions in education over the past three decades. We’re excited to welcome new students every year and continue our journey of learning and growth together.
