Presses Universitaires de France Founded in 1921 by a college of professors (including Léon Brunschvicg and Maurice Caullery), the Presses Universitaires de France (Puf) have been publishing and disseminating the writings of academics and researche seminating the writings of academics and researchers in the human and social sciences for a hundred years. Publisher of Durkheim, Bergson and Freud, at the origin of large dictionaries, numerous journals, reference collections, manuals and pocket collections (“Que sais-je?”, “Quadrige”), having trained generations of students, promoter of the most innovative currents in philosophy, history, sociology, law, psychoanalysis, political science and economics, but also a house resolutely oriented towards the general public, the Puf assume the role of welcoming land for the multiplicity of contemporary knowledge.
