In the Year 1965 Science college was established and it has been developed gradually ever since. In the Year 1991 it received blessing of “Param Pujya Pramukh Swami Maharaj”. Based on his name and charity fund the college is known as “Pramukh S charity fund the college is known as “Pramukh Swami Science College”. After that the college started Arts faculty. In 1991, Shri Hargovinddas Memorial Trust, Mehsana gave financial support and it is known as “Hargovinddas Dhanabhai Patel Arts College”. The expansion of educational opportunities provided by the Trust is phenomenal, fast and prolific. The trust believes in moving with time appreciating societal needs. On the broad horizon of the educational scenario, the SVKM trust is a flourishing and twinkling star in the recent past for giving a way to profound importance to higher education and latest technological development in the field of education. Pramukh Swami Science & H.D.Patel Arts College, affiliated to the H N G University is unique in its own self in imparting knowledge in the fields of science as well as arts. The science faculty of this college has been running since 1965 and evolving in many directions ever since. The role of this trust is that of a facilitator and guardian. The responsibility of character building and growth is on the shoulders of the faculty and students. Their collective commitment, devotion and integrity will be essential and always appreciated. The responsibility ultimately lies with the students to uplift this institute on national level. I am happy to learn that this titanic task has been accomplished by past students for last four decades. To conclude, I remember the sentiments of late shri Chhaganbha whose motto was “Kar Bhala Hoga Bhala” which is propagated efficiently by thousands of students and faculty all these years. Pramukh Swami Science & H.D.Patel Arts College, affiliated to Hemchandracharya North Gujarat University has shown development in all dimensions of college/university education. We have introduced many professional courses for multidimensional career building of the students. This includes Industrial Chemistry (since 1997), Biotechnology (since 2004) and Principal English Literature (since 2005). In order to maintain continuity and consistency in the curriculum we also offer post graduate courses in Pure Chemistry (Organic Chemistry), Industrial Chemistry and Pure Mathematics. Ours well qualified staff and the institute updates the students by organizing various seminars, conferences and workshops regularly. Our staff is well-versed in the research activity, as a part of which they regularly publish papers and participate in various national and international conferences and present their research work. They have carried out several major and minor research projects sponsored by UGC. Due to this the institute has availed studies up to Ph.D. level. We encourage our students to take part in various academic as well as cultural activities in college and at the university level to bring out their latent potential. They participate actively in NSS and NCC which has given unique identity to this college. As a result, they have got opportunities at national and international level. The college has developed a versatile library which consists ample books on different subjects. The college is also equipped with fully furnished computer laboratory with internet access. To add to this infrastructure the college has also established a research laboratory. Apart from this, our institution provides excellent hostel facilities for boys and girls as well. Pramukh Swami Science & H.D.Patel Arts College, affiliated to the Hemchandracharya North Gujarat University is remarkable in capturing attention among many institutes around the rural area of Kadi Taluka. This is due to its long lasting reputation based on concrete results. I am proud to state that the prime aim of this college has always remained the overall development of the students of arts and science faculty by providing a unique platform to interact with each other and understand mutual talents. Amid tough competition, the arts faculty of this college has grown impressively in recent years. This college has the character of withstanding all odds such as decline in the interest of students in science stream.
