Polytechnic in Agriculture, Navsari Agricultural University, Located in Panwadi, Bhenskatri road, Vyara, Dist. Tapi, at Longitude: 73° 20’ E and Latitude: 20° 10’ N. The College provides teaching through lectures and field facilities for giving g through lectures and field facilities for giving adequate work experience for the Diploma courses and practical for student. Now the teaching is done under the semester system. Much stress is being given at the Diploma level to train the students in all the farm operations as per recent technology. They have to raise all the important field and horticultural crops of the State in museum in the college farm under the `work experience' programmed. In the final year of the course, they are given intensive field training in the different Research Station, Agro- industries and Agri- cooperatives, where they get proper exposure to the practical problems in agriculture. Thus make the students fully competent to face field problems in their future official career and most useful in the establishment of tribal area development. The total land area is 4.12 ha and out of which 2.05 ha is under cultivation and 2.07 ha is under road, farm buildings, shades, play ground etc. The Diploma School of Agriculture was started in October-1982 under the scheme of Agriculture School, Gujarat Agricultural University, with aim to teach the students of tribal caste of South Gujarat only. It was shifted to Navsari Agricultural University in May-2004. The important of Agriculture School was for the students of Tribal Caste.
