To meet the ever-increasing demand of qualified manpower in the field of emerging areas of Agricultural Engineering and Technology, Navsari Agricultural University (NAU), Navsari, has established Polytechnic Agricultural Engineering, Dediapada in 200 technic Agricultural Engineering, Dediapada in 2009 under Vanbandhu Kalyan Yojna with the approval of All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), Ministry of HRD, Govt. of India. It is a station of NAU, Navsari. The Green Revolution has paved the way for food security to the country. Farm mechanization has changed the scenario of agriculture. Millennium will see a free intercourse of social values, cultures and civilizations. At the same time the economic necessities will force economists to come closer and participate in the overall development of the entire mankind. They will be able to choose their sphere of activities anywhere in the world. Engineers and scientists educated in the classical engineering disciplines may find new opportunities at many places in the world. But the opportunities for engineers and scientists educated in traditional engineering disciplines in a traditional way are going to shrink very much. Therefore, the main thrust has to be built on the new technology in the field of Agricultural Engineering. The college is located at Dediapada (Dist. Narmada), 72 km east from Ankleshwar railway station and 45 km south from Rajpipala. To organize and conduct diploma programme in Agricultural Engineering. To undertake basic and applied research in concerned area covering production, value addition, marketing and management. To develop suitable agricultural technologies for the cropping and farming systems of the region. To collaborate with other agencies involved in teaching, research and development activities in the field of Agricultural Engineering. To provide consultancy services to farmers and others engaged in production processing, marketing and management in the wider field of agricultural and allied activities.
