As the human population increases, the challenges of meeting global requirements for food security become increasingly difficult. This two-year full-time MSc programme will provide the students a space to explore modified approaches towards plant cul e to explore modified approaches towards plant cultivation to meet rapidly changing climates. It will also acquaint them with genetic and molecular tools that can be used to generate nutritional, resistant and diverse food crops for the future. They will also acquire an understanding on the need for sustainable biotechnological solutions. This, coupled with state-of-the-art laboratories, affords enterprising students the space to accelerate the development of new products and compete globally in this sector.
