P. Wadhwani College of Pharmacy is situated in Yavatmal district, Maharashtra. Located 45 kilometers away from Dhamangaon railway station, it is approved by New Delhi, PCI, and Directorate of Technical Education Mumbai, and is permanently affiliated l Education Mumbai, and is permanently affiliated to the Sant Gadge Baba Amravati University. In the year 1997, PWCOP started offering Degree Course in Pharmacy education, followed by the introduction of postgraduate courses (M. Pharm) in 2006 in subjects including Pharmaceutics, P'ceutical Chemistry, Quality Assurance, and Pharmacology. Ph. D. Programme in the subject of Pharmaceutical Sciences was started from 2008. Total intake capacity of research center is 30. D. Pharm course was introduced from 2017. The college has a lush green campus & glorious building with spacious, modernized, and high-tech classrooms, laboratories which are well equipped with sophisticated instruments, and library with more than 13500 books and 40 national & international journals. Additionally, it conducts regular industrial visits, sport & cultural events, and workshops & seminars on the state and national level to provide much needed exposure to the students. In addition to exceptional facilities, the college also offers scope of financial support to the students. The institution adheres to all quality measures in terms of imparting quality education to its students. As a result, many students of PWCOP easily get GPAT scholarships for pursuing higher education. Various funding agencies like CSIR, DST, ICMR, UGC, AICTE, and many more have offered significant financial assistance to PWCOP to carry out various research projects, organize national seminars, and modernize the laboratories. Workshops, quality improvement program, and seminars to hone the skills of PG students and faculty are routinely conducted with financial assistance from Government funding agencies. The college has joined hands with many companies to provide the ultimate educational, training, and exposure to the students. It has teamed up with many business giants like Cognizant Mumbai; NM Pharma, Amravati; Macleods Pharmaceuticals Ltd, Mumbai; and Genetek Lifesciences, Wardha, Zim Lab, Nagpur. PWCOP also conducts various DST sponsored entrepreneurship development programs in association with MITCON to promote various central government schemes like Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Yojana, Start Up India, and the concept of Make in India. Throughout its illustrious journey, the college has accomplished many remarkable feats. It has received various awards like Digitally Empowered Organization, ISO 9001:2015; Swachha Maharashtra Abhiyan; National Gold Star Award; 20 best institute of the year 2020, NIRF Ranking in 2020, Atal Rank in 2021 in Pharmacy Education and College is accredited by NAAC with B++ Grade. Over the years, the college has produced many graduates who have made a mark on the industry through their innovative endeavors. Alumni of PWCOP are spread across the world, serving leading companies, educational institutions, and industries in senior positions. Many have become industrialists and are successfully running their ventures. The college has an alumni association, which actively participates in student and staff development by carrying out research activities by financial and collaborative support. College runs various schemes for student benefit like Guardian Teacher’s Scheme, Scholarship to economically weaker section. PWCOP primarily lays emphasis on teaching and research initiatives. This can be vindicated by contributions of the college in national and international journals of repute every year. It publishes its own open access International Journal of Research in Pharmaceutical Technology for Pharmaceutical Scientists.
