Nitishwar Mavidyalaya was founded by late Nitishwar Prasad Singh, freedom fighter and popular leader. He was immensely interested in motivating people towards literary and academic creativity. This led him to establish a number of literary and educational institutions. Nitishwar Mahavidyalaya and also Suhrid Sangh, situated within the campus of the college, are such live examples of the creative endeavors of Nitishwar Babu. The college remembers and pays tributes to great soul of Bihar and also gets recharged with the ideals of Nitishwar Babu on 6th February every year. The day is celebrated as Nitishwar Punya Smriti Diwas.
