Nirmala College of Engineering (NICE), established in 2011 is one of the ventures of Nirmala Educational Trust. NICE, approved by AICTE New Delhi is recognized by the Government of Kerala and offers programs affiliated to APJ Abdul Kalam Technologica rograms affiliated to APJ Abdul Kalam Technological University, with a vision to provide technical education to create proficient engineers, who will add newer dimensions to the technological revolution. Global Recognition as an institution of excellence in the field of engineering and technology. To generate high quality professionals with strong foundation in basic engineering principles, technical and managerial skills, and outstanding conduct who can contribute to the progress and prosperity of the society and nation, with consciousness and concerns about the environment. Engineering is still one of the most reputed careers in the job market despite all odd campaigns against it and the recent dips in the rate of placements across the globe. The demand for skilled engineers is steadily rising and the hiring of engineers has increased by 300% from 2021-22. Gone are the days when pure technical knowledge and skills were considered as the primary qualifications for lucrative positions in the profession. The present engineers need to possess a lot of diverse skills and consciousness about the society and the environment. The technological fraternity is constrained to uphold ethical values,care the underprivileged in the society and ensure sustainability by adopting green energy strategies. A holistic education is therefore the need of the hour to impart the obligatory knowledge and skills and to uphold all values and conduct. It is with this concept and understanding, Nirmala College of Engineering (NiCE) was established in 2011. The vision of the institute is to grow as a centre of excellence in providing technical education. The quality being the top most priority, the objective of the institution is to mould world class professionals to take up the present and future challenges in ever changing technological and industrial scenario of the country and the world. With the support of a strong team of faculty members who wholeheartedly put their efforts and work as a team, the institution has a congenial ambience for the students to learn and interact with each other. The serene and calm campus, away from chaotic city, on the shores of Chalakudy river is conducive for learning and nurturing.
