Niali College

The glorious foundation of Niali College was laid on the day of August in the year 1977 fulfilling the long cherished dream of the inhabitants of Niali Block.The first was held in Rameswar Bidyapith,jallarpur.Later on classes were held at Radhakanta allarpur.Later on classes were held at Radhakanta Math,Nuagaon.Then the college started functioning in its own building on the outskirts of Niali,on the Niali-phulnakhara Road.The college stands amid vast greenery with natural surrounding. The college started with Intermediate in Arts and vocational Education which was recognized by Government in the year 1979-80 and was affiliated to Utkal University.In the same year,+2 science and commerce Streams were opened subsequently. The Degree class received its concurrence and affiliation from the Government and Utkal University respectively in the year 1983-84.The college has been affiliated to UGC,New Delhi under provisions 2(f) and 12(B) since 2008. The Honours teaching facilities were available from the year 1991-92.The Govt. Vocational junior college has been functioning in the college campus from the Session 2007-08. The college is deeply indebted to Late Sri Bata Krushna Lenka and Sri Modan Mohan Sahoo whose bubbling enthusiasm and untiring endeavour led to its inception. The college has now a New Block for science laboratories. With the assistance of UGC the college has constructed a separate block of 6000 sq.ft. for classroom purpose. Since 1977, the college has been contributing significantly for the expansion of education in this rural area. Ours is one of the premier non-government fully aided colleges of Odisha. Affiliated to Utkal University and C.H.S.E., Odisha it has been functioning as the nodal centre for university examination and Examination Management hub by CHSE. The College continues to maintain its rich tradition of being devoted to discipline and studies. The year 2015 is very crucial for the college since it stands on the threshold of obtaining NAAC accreditation. The Construction work of the Ladies Hostel Building is on full swing. The construction work of the proposed stadium is going to start shortly. Much has been achieved, but a lot more is to be done.
