The New York Institute of Technology (NYIT) is a private, non-profit research university that focuses on technical and vocational studies. It was founded in 1955 and has campuses in New York State, North America, China, and the Middle East, as well a rth America, China, and the Middle East, as well as online programs. NYIT's main campuses are in Old Westbury, Long Island and on the Upper West Side in Manhattan. The Old Westbury campus is the largest and is home to the College of Osteopathic Medicine.
