Mahatma Gandhi Chitrakoot Gramodaya Vishwavidyalaya (MGCGV) is affiliated with the University Grants Commission (UGC). It is also accredited by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) and the Indian Council of Agricultural Research ( and the Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR). MGCGV is located in Chitrakoot, Satna, Madhya Pradesh, on the banks of the Mandakini river. The university was established in 1991 by the Government of Madhya Pradesh.
