Mercy College, Palakkad, a govt. aided arts and science women’s college, affiliated to the University of Calicut, was established in the year 1964. It was “a dream come true”- the dream of the St. Chavara Elias and the Carmelite Missionary Fr. t. Chavara Elias and the Carmelite Missionary Fr. Leopold Beccaro. This Institution is administered by the Jai Christo C.M.C. Educational Agency, Palakkad under the religious jurisdiction of Bishop of Palakkad. The College has completed 58 years of imparting quality, value-based education to young women in the area, empowering and training them for the service of God and humanity. Today, the Institution has soared to enviable heights of eminence and has been reaccredited by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council at ‘A’ grade. Mercy College, Palakkad, Kerala is a Christian minority institution administered by Jai Christo C. M. C. Educational Agency, Palakkad. Started in the year 1964, Mercy College is now a post-graduate Women’s college with research facilities affiliated to the University of Calicut, Kerala. The College stands for academic excellence, development of personality based on moral values. The College also aims at training women for the service of God and humanity.
