About MEASI Institute of Management
The All India Muhammadan Educational Conference had its genesis during the Fifteenth Annual Session held in Madras in 1901, where the establishment of such an association was proposed. Following this, in 1905-1906, under the Societies Act XXI of 1860 in 1905-1906, under the Societies Act XXI of 1860, the association was officially incorporated as No.18. Lord Boddam assumed the role of Founder President during this formative period. Initially, the association focused on offering educational scholarships and providing hostel accommodations to Muslim students. Notable individuals such as Janab A. Hamid Hassan Sait Sahib, Nawab Syed Mohamed Sahib (the grandson of Tipu Sultan), and Justice Sir Abdul Rahim Sahib played pivotal roles in steering the association during its early years. Other influential figures included Sir Mohamed Habibullah Sahib, Sir Mohamed Usman Sahib, and Nawab C. Abdul Hakeem Sahib, among others. These stalwarts laid the foundation for the association’s mission of promoting education among the Muslim community. Over time, the association expanded its endeavors, establishing various educational institutions under the MEASI umbrella. These institutions include The New College in 1951, which has since been a beacon of higher education, particularly for the Muslim community. The MEASI Matriculation Higher Secondary School, founded in 1985, further contributed to the association’s educational initiatives, nurturing young minds from the formative stages. The establishment of the MEASI Institute of Management in 1987 marked a significant milestone, catering to the growing demand for quality management education. Subsequently, the MEASI Charitable Trust was established in 1992, followed by the MEASI Academy of Architecture in 1997, and the MEASI Urdu Academy in 1998, each adding a unique dimension to the association’s educational landscape. The MEASI Institute of Information Technology commenced its journey in 2001, followed by the MEASI College of Education in 2004, and more recently, the MEASI C.A. Academy in 2014. These institutions collectively symbolize the association’s enduring commitment to fostering educational excellence and empowerment within the Muslim community and beyond, embodying the vision and values set forth by its founding members.
