Manish Ashokbhai Parikh Fine Arts & Arts college, Palanpur

The students of the fine arts faculty outperform those from other colleges at the University Youth Mahotsav, district and state level competitions every year by wining almost all the prizes. One of the students of the painting department won the firs e students of the painting department won the first prize in the recently held state level `Swachh Bharat Abhiyan’ competition and was awarded the prize by the Chief Minister of Gujarat. Many students from this college work in the Mumbai film industry. One of our students from the drama department recently played a supporting role in the movie Bajirao Mastani. Students of the college are encouraged to actively participate in social activities like Blood Donation Camps, Thalassemia Test Camps, Aids Awareness Programmes, Adult Education & Literacy Campaigns, Village, College and Public place cleaning programmes, Tree Plantation drives, and various other awareness programmes in villages. The college organises an Annual Painting Exhibition, a Patriotic Songs Competition, Poetry Recitation Competition, an Annual Guru Poornima Celebration, an Annual Navratri Mahotsav; it organises annual birthday celebrations of eminent poets and writers, and shows motivational films. It also organises a Teachers’ Day celebration each year and an Annual “Hindi Din”. The college has a career guidance and placement cell which provides guidance to the students and organises various seminars, workshops, training programmes etc. The college has been running a counselling centre since its inception.
