Majlis Arts and Science College, affiliated with the University of Calicut and approved by the Government of Kerala, holds esteemed recognition under Section 2(f) of the UGC Act 1956. Established in 1995 with just four programs, the college has since 995 with just four programs, the college has since grown into one of the largest self-financing institutions in the state. As part of the Majlis Educational Complex, overseen by the AMLI Society, the college is dedicated to providing quality higher education. With a diverse student body of over 3000 individuals across various age groups, we are committed to academic excellence and holistic development. The Majlis Arts and Science College aims to become an institution of global excellence that positively impacts the lives of rural and marginalized communities by providing education that is value-centered, service-oriented, and professionally competent. 1. Background and Affiliation: Majlis Arts and Science College is a multidisciplinary autonomous institution affiliated with the University of Calicut. It is approved by the Government of Kerala and recognized under Section 2(f) of the UGC Act 1956. Founding and Growth: Established in 1995, the college initially started with four programs but has since expanded to become one of the largest self-financing colleges in the state. Management: The college is managed by the AMLI Society, formed by educators and philanthropists. It is part of the Majlis Educational Complex, which includes various educational institutions. Location: Situated in a lush green campus spanning 12 acres of land in Puramannur, Irimbiliyam Grama Panchayath, the college is located in Malappuram District, Kerala. Minority Status and Silver Jubilee: The college received Minority Status from the Ministry of Minority Welfare, Govt. of India, on May 15, 2012. It celebrated its silver jubilee anniversary during the academic year 2019-20. Academic Programs: Majlis Arts and Science College offers education to over 3000 students in 17 undergraduate and seven postgraduate programs. These programs include Multimedia, Mass Communication, Visual Communication, Graphic Designing and Animation, BCA, Travel and Tourism, and Microbiology, among others. Empowering the Community: The college focuses on empowering the rural community and provides value-based education. Infrastructure: The college boasts state-of-the-art infrastructure facilities, including a Multimedia studio, e-Content Development Center, well-equipped laboratories, and classrooms. Scholarship and Support: Various strategies, including institutional scholarships and free ships, are implemented to support disadvantaged students.
