About Maharaja Prithvi Engineering College
The Maharaja Prithvi Engineering College (MPEC) was established in the year 2002 by the Paramasivam Palanisamy Charitable Trust. The establishment of Maharaja Prithvi Engineering College is one more milestones in the academic excellence of the Mahara ilestones in the academic excellence of the Maharaja Group of Institutions. The College is located at Avinashi about 17 Kms from Tirupur railway station, 39.3 Kms from Coimbatore Airport and 53.3 Kms from Erode on National Highway No.47. With Maharaja Engineering College as its role model, the institution is growing in flying colors without facing any difficulties of a new institution. The college is approved by AICTE, New Delhi MPEC is affiliated to Anna University of Technology, Chennai Placement:NSS- National Service Scheme organizes various activities like Blood Donation Camp, Tree Plantation and Personality Development Program etc. YRC- Youth Red Cross Facilities: Library- The library is spread in 1400 sq.m. Area and It has more than 39099 volumes of books and 188 national and international journals. The library has a reading room with 500 persons and digital library has 70 computers. Hostel- Separate hostel facility is available for boys and girls. The boy’s hostel has the capacity of 1300 students and girl’s hostel has accommodation of 650 students. Computer Lab- Institute has 10 computer centers. The computers are connected with latest configuration to LAN. The LAN is connected by optical fiber networks. The computer to student ratio is 1:4 for UG programs and 1:2 for PG programmes. Sports- The college has a playground with an area of 9 acres. The college has the facility for outdoor and indoor games like cricket, basketball, table tennis, badminton, chess, football, volleyball and carom etc. Seminar Hall- The college has one A/c seminar hall with the capacity of 300 persons and one Non A/c Seminar hall with the capacity of 500 seats.
