Keeping in view the need for alternative education to achieve the goal of education for all in Madhya Pradesh, M.P. State Open School Education Board was established in Madhya Pradesh as per the decision of the Council of Ministers dated 29/03/1995, ion of the Council of Ministers dated 29/03/1995, in line with the National Institute of Open Schooling, New Delhi. This institution has been functioning as a registered committee as an autonomous institution since August 1995. M.P. State Open School Education Board provides alternative education through highly flexible open education. Students are provided with multiple opportunities to get educated through this flexible education in class 10th and 12th. Students are provided online admission facility through AISECT Kiosk . Under the schemes of M.P. State Open School Education Board, candidates are provided 9 consecutive opportunities to pass the examination. The subjects passed by the student are compiled till he passes the examination in all 5 subjects. The student is given a mark sheet and certificate after passing the examination of 5 subjects.
