About LJ Institute of Pharmacy (LJIP)
LJ Institute of Pharmacy (LJIP), established in 2004, leading institute of Gujarat imparting quality education at under-graduation (UG) and post-graduation level (PG). The main mission of the institute is that students shall be equipped with knowledg e is that students shall be equipped with knowledge skills and research aptitude. LJIP runs B.Pharm. (at UG level), M.Pharm. (at PG level) and Ph.D. (in Pharmacy) courses. The institute is approved by All India Council of Technical Education (AICTE), Pharmacy Council of India (PCI) and affiliated with Gujarat technological university (GTU). The college is approved by Dept. of Science and Industrial Research (DSIR) as Scientific Research and Industrial Organization (SIRO) and also recognized by other funding agencies including AICTE and GUJCOST. In the recently published GSIRF (Gujarat State Institutional Rating Framework) ranking we achieved 6th Rank among all the Pharmacy colleges of Gujarat with 4-star (****) rating. The L. J. Institute of Pharmacy, Ahmedabad envisions to be a key global contributor in Pharmaceutical Education and Research by promoting and nurturing technical skills, creativity, scholarship, innovation, and excellence. To impart an education that provides strong domain knowledge encourages critical thinking, and hones contemporary skills with ethics needed for a successful Pharmacy professional. To promote and support research activities in fields of pharmaceutical and allied sciences for growth of knowledge and continuous learning. To provide professional service to industries and communities through educational, technical, and professional activities. The Program Education Objectives (PEO) of Pharmacy undergraduate at L J Institute of Pharmacy is to prepare students that: 1. Are proficient in the fundamentals of pharmaceutical science, analytical and quantitative reasoning, and drug design in the context of pharmacy. 2. Carry out scientific experiments independently through the acquisition of laboratory skills and carry out formulation/preparation of medicines in suitable dosage forms. 3. Demonstrate professional behaviour and ethical attitude, communication skills, teamwork skills, multi-disciplinary approach with social awareness and are able to apply these broad skills in developing safe, economical and environmentally sound solutions to challenges in pharmaceutical field. 4. Engage in life-long learning to adapt to innovation and change for their successful professional work or higher studies. 5.
