Little Flower College of Nursing

The Little Flower College of Nursing is an educational institution by the Trivandrum Latin Diocese; provides nursing education and training to become a fully qualified nurse. This college focus on preparing committed, self dependent, creative and inn paring committed, self dependent, creative and innovative nurses with strong values and qualities. Focus is given for loyalty, veracity, credibility and overall development of the undergraduates. Consistent modernization of the educational process is emphasised. Assimilative, accommodative and divergent learning styles are cultivated; there by one can achieve heights not only in nursing sector but also in other areas such as hospital administration, education, public health, hospitality and even in civil service. The mission of the college is to give professional nursing education with all available medical technology and hands on practical exposure to the nursing students based on christian values and principles, to reach out to health care service sector, to uphold values in the society and to promote preventive, curative and rehabilitative care to individuals, family and community. Jubilee Memorial Hospital, Palayam was established in the year 1987 as the land mark of the Golden Jubilee Celebration of the Archdiocese of Trivandrum, with the motto “Promotion of life through health care with love”. For the past 30 years this hospital is catering the health needs of the people from all the walks of life, especially the poor and the middle class in the society. A long way dream of New College building happened under the methodical leadership of Rev. Fr. Cleetus Vincent, Managing Director on 01.10.2019 at Manvila, inaugurated by Shri. Kadakampally Surendran, Minister for Co-operation, Tourism and Devaswoms and blessed by Excellency Most. Rev. Dr. Christudas. R, Auxiliary Bishop Archdiocese of Trivandrum. Our new college is located in Manvila, in a four acre land surrounded by lush and exotic greenary with a pleasent fresh air campus hardly 2 km from College of Engineering, Thiruvananthapuram. Little Flower, Saint Therese of Lisieus Roman Catholic Latin Church is situated near to our college. The infrastructure of College building is spacious and equipped sufficiently as per the norms of Kerala University of Health Sciences, Kerala Nurses and Midwives Council and Indian Nursing Council. ...view more
