The Maratha Vidya Prasarak Samaj is one of the most prestigious centers of learning in the State of Maharashtra. Samaj goes to the young, enthusiastic and devoted team of social workers and educationists who were inspired by the lives of Mahatma Jyotiba Phule, Savitribai Phule and Rajashri Shahu Maharaj of Kolhapur. These young leading lights include Karmaveer Raosaheb Thorat, Karmaveer Ganpat Dada More, Karmaveer D. R. Bhonsale who laid the foundation of the Samaj and during the course of time Karmaveer Kakasaheb Wagh, Karmaveer Bhausaheb Hire, Karmaveer Annasaheb Murkute leads the organization and contributed towards its further journey. They were the men who envisioned a culture and knowledge centric society. MVP with the support of patronage, the donation either in kind or in wages by common populace started various hostels, schools, colleges within Nashik district. After independence Charity, Donation & Human Resources made it possible to continue the journey ahead. Under the leadership of Adv Baburao Thakare, Adv.Viththalrao Hande and Dr. Vasantrao Pawar MVP has added new streams of education in its educational journey. Now MVP has explored in the form of pre-primary, primary, higher secondary schools, conventional colleges & professional colleges.
