Our curriculum design involves feedback from experts in the private, public sectors, parents, and civil society. The curriculum is designed to make the student either go for higher studies, or seek placement, or do research or to become entrepreneurs after their study. Skilling is the main focus of our teaching learning process. Active Learning Methods (ALM), Lab Taken to Class (LTC), Project Based Labs (PBL)are some of the s teaching pedagogies used for making the students learn by doing. This will help to learn concepts and strategies that can be applied to working life immediately, significantly enhancing their career prospects. The students are encouraged to debate, discuss, and analyze. The co-curricular and extracurricular activities are given prominence in the curriculum. Students are evaluated on a continuous basis throughout the semester. Our Academic Structure offers lot of Flexibility for students. Research is a part of curriculum at both under graduate and higher degree programmes. There are a number of interdisciplinary courses, where departments work together to create strong, new programmes where fields converge to suit to the current industrial and societal needs. Various Departments, Research Centers for excellence at KLEF conduct different Academic activities which include Teaching, Research and Industrial Consultancy. Communication and Soft Skills department is specially designed to cater to the requirements of the individual students in honing their life skills and communication abilities, thereby complementing their technical skills. The KLEF has signed MOU’s with several other educational institutes in the world for faculty exchange and student exchange programs. The academic atmosphere at the Institute is a rare blend of modern day technical skills and the traditional emphasis on imparting knowledge. Engineering Knowledge :An ability to apply knowledge of mathematics, science, engineering fundamentals and an engineering specialization for the solution of complex engineering problems in engineering Problem Analysis :An ability to identify, formulate, research literature, analyze complex engineering problems in mechanical engineering using first principles of mathematics, naturalsciences and engineering sciences Design/ development of solutions :An ability to design solutions for complex engineering problems and system component or processes that meet the specified needs considering public health & safety and cultural, societal & environment Conduct investigations of complex problems :An ability to use research-based knowledge and research methods including design of experiments, analysis and interpretation of data and synthesis of the information to obtain solutions to engineering problems Modern tool usage :Ability to create, select and apply appropriate techniques, resources and modern engineering activities, with an understanding of the limitations The engineer and society :Ability to apply reasoning informed by the contextual knowledge to assess societal, health, safety, legal and cultural issues and the consequent responsibilities relevant to the professional engineering practice Environment and sustainability Ability to demonstrate the knowledge of engineering solutions, contemporary issues understanding their impacts on societal and environmental contexts, leading towards sustainable development ...view more
