King Abdulaziz University (KAU) is a public research university in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. It was founded in 1967 as a private university by the Red Sea, and became public in 1971. The university is named after King Abdul-Aziz Al-Saud, the founder of S ed after King Abdul-Aziz Al-Saud, the founder of Saudi Arabia. KAU offers undergraduate and postgraduate programs in a variety of academic areas, including social and natural sciences, such as: Marine sciences, Meteorology, Earth sciences, Nuclear engineering, Mining, Medical engineering, and Aeronautical engineering. The university's mission is to "advance society through pioneering research and encouraging academic and scientific excellence". KAU has maintained its leadership in international rankings, ranking first in the Arab world in the 2021-2022 Shanghai International Classification and the British QS classification index for three years in a row. ...view more
