KING ABDULAZIZ UNIVERSITY

King Abdulaziz University (KAU) is a public research university in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. It was founded in 1967 as a private university by the Red Sea, and became public in 1971. The university is named after King Abdul-Aziz Al-Saud, the founder of S ed after King Abdul-Aziz Al-Saud, the founder of Saudi Arabia. KAU offers undergraduate and postgraduate programs in a variety of academic areas, including social and natural sciences, such as: Marine sciences, Meteorology, Earth sciences, Nuclear engineering, Mining, Medical engineering, and Aeronautical engineering. The university's mission is to "advance society through pioneering research and encouraging academic and scientific excellence".
