The origin of K.B.P.G. College, Mirzapur is shrouded in the dim pre-history of certain school wits, intellectual's elder statesman, renowned lawyers and established businessmen, who were quite grieved to think of having no college in the city that ca to think of having no college in the city that can provide higher education to the students of Mirzapur. The real dream of our visionary founder was to implant an institution of higher education whose aim and objective was to promote skill & produce young people who are intellectually sound, morally upright, socially committed and economically self-reliant, It was with this unflinching commitment that Late Shri Gayanath Agrawal, the then devout teacher of a peculiar instinct, in his stimulating speech galvanized all Managers, Principals, educated colleagues and citizens of Mirzapur to contemplate over this road unexplored and daunting. This Herculean task was finally welcomed by the Managing Committee and Trustees of Basant College, who in their written indenture on 10-07-1956 declared to donate a well-built central building and campus of around 3 .5 A cre area for establishment of K.B. Degree College.The Governing body of the Degree college association, Mirzapur feeling the desirability of opening a degree college started inviting donation of movables and immovable type from the bankers, merchants, landlords and education loving citizen of Mirzapur. Shree Bhairo Prsad Jaiswal S/o Late Fakir Ram Jaiswal R/o Ganeshganj, Mirzapur invited the Governing body of Mirzapur degree college association on 13 .03 .1957 and in a written indenture pledged the whole of the stone built house situated in Ganeshganj, Mirzapur (in which the District planning and other Govt. Offices were functioning) the then cost of building was around 60000/- which was another land mark in the college history. The said premises are now in possession of faculty of education (B.Ed.) of KBPG College. In meeting out the infrastructural and financial need of the college, the selfless support of Smt. Gulabi Devi W/o Late Sri Narottam Das Agrawal cannot be ignored. She was quite moved by the unfaltering effort of her cousin Babu Gayanath Agrawal, the then secretary willingly pledged an open land of around 06 Bigha located at Bhatwa Ki Pokhari Mirzapur, and thus removed all those difficulties failing which K.B. Degree College may not have come into existence. For upliftment and growth of Higher Education, the financial Assistance. of Rs. 25000/- by Smt.
