Kavikulguru Institute of Technology and Science, Ramtek is a private, un-aided Institution run by Vodithala Education Society, Hyderabad established with an objective of providing quality technical education to rural students. The Institute’s found ucation to rural students. The Institute’s foundation stone was laid by former Prime Minister Late Sri P. V. Narsimha Rao on 19/09/1985. It was at his insistence that Late Sri V. Rajeshwara Rao, former MP (Rajya Sabha) and Founder Chairman of society, a philanthropist and great visionary established this Institute in a small rural town of Ramtek [dist.Nagpur,Maharashtra]. The Institute is well known for its discipline, providing quality education, concern for the society and environment. The Institute is permanently affiliated to Rashtrasant Tukadoji Maharaj Nagpur University (RTMNU), Nagpur. The Institute offers B.Tech., B.Arch., M.Tech. and Ph.D. programs. The Institute has lush green pollution free sprawling campus in 48.96 acres. The Institute was bestowed with 'Best Infrastructure in Maharashtra’ award by All India Technical and Management Council, New Delhi in the year 2014. The Institute has been awarded ‘A’ Grade twice by Maharashtra State Government. The Institute has received the accreditation by National Board of Accreditation (NBA) twice in the past and accredited by NAAC with 'A' Grade. The Institute has an excellent infrastructure comprising of 41 class rooms, 65 laboratories, seminar halls, ICT rooms, auditorium, departmental libraries and central library with a wide collection of more than 63,000 books, Journals, and subscription of e-Journals. Outdoor games and sports facilities such as cricket, football, volleyball ground and an indoor sports complex with gymnasium are available. The Institute has Two Boys and Two girl’s hostels with air cooled messes/reading room facility. The academic campus is Wi-Fi enabled with 200 Mbps dedicated leased line. The premises also houses a Bank, ATM, Post Office, Departmental Stores and Canteen. The Institute has a Training and Placement cell to make the students employable and also help them to shape their careers.The Institute conducts industrial visits, site visits, various technical events and student training programs on regular basis. The Institute offers various 'Add-on programs' for students. The Institute motivates the scientific temper, critical thinking and creativity of students by organizing workshops, seminars, cultural programs and technical fests. The NSS and NCC units organize many extension activities such as blood donation/medical camps, awareness camps in the rural areas, tree plantations, road safety campaigns, street plays etc. Our students participate in curricular/extracurricular activities at University, Inter University and National level. They bring laurels to the Institution every year. The Institute also has an active Alumni Cell. The Institute adopts environment friendly practices and takes steps towards energy conservation, rain water harvesting, bio-gas, sewage water recycling and use of solar energy. ...view more
