Kalaivanar NSK Polytechnic College

The Government of Tamilnadu had sanctioned our Polytechnic in the name of the “Matinee Idol”, Kalaivanar N.S.Krishnan. His wits and humours used to enthrall the audience. He has projected in his films not only humour but also the dine necessity o ilms not only humour but also the dine necessity of imparting education to the people of Tamilnadu. When the name of Kalaivanar N.S.Krishnan was put forth the government accorded the sanction to start the Polytechnic in his name and accordingly Kalaivanar NSK Polytechnic was started in the year 1984 by the Vellala Educational Trust of Kanyakumari District. Ever since the inception of the college, the institution maintains good academic standards, merits ability of standards. As per AICTE norms our institution has got well equipped laboratories, workshops, computers, sufficient building with class rooms and all the required amenities including play grounds. In addition we construct a sprawling building to accommodate workshop with all state of the art machines. Our trust has more than 30 acres of land in the scene atmosphere under the foot hills of ‘Pothigai Mountain” at Chenbagaramanputhoor in Kanyakumari District to cater the requirements of the Polytechnic College, Our institution is offering six branches of engineering like Civil, Mechanical, Automobile, Electrical & Electronics, Electronics & Communication, and Computer Engineering. Almost all the years our institution ranks first in producing results. Since our institution is located in a rural area, the branches we offer has got wide appreciation and there is rush for admission not only from this area but also from far and wide. The merit of the institution is such that the multinational companies are thronging to absorb students from this institution. Our Polytechnic has got the special credit of placements in multi national companies like Simens, L&T, HCL, Sobha Developers Bangalore, TVS, IGP Engineers Private Ltd Chennai, SPIC. The College offers, scholarship for poor students. Our College gives representation to all the community students.
